As 2025 closes out, I wanted to end this year huge with all those on the Road of Faith.
As you know if you’ve followed The Road of Faith, many times we have lifted prayers to God for those souls stuck in Purgatory.
“Pray as much as you can for the dying. By your entreaties, obtain for them trust in My mercy, because they have most need of trust, and have it the least. Be assured that the grace of eternal salvation for certain souls in their final moment depends on your prayer. You know the whole abyss of My mercy, so draw upon it for yourself and especially for poor sinners. Sooner would heaven and earth turn into nothingness than would My mercy not embrace a trusting soul.” – Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1777
This time I wanted to lean more heavily upon God’s Loving, Merciful Heart than ever before. We will draw upon His unfathomable Divine Mercy through the intercessions of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our mother.
To close out this year, we are not just going to pray for God to empty Purgatory, we are going to go even beyond trust that He will answer this prayer, we are going to know that He has already emptied Purgatory from our prayer today. And, we are going to simply rejoice with all those souls who are now rejoicing and singing praises in God’s Holy Holy Holy presence.
But that isn’t all. Because our trust and faith is so big, we are going beyond this easy ask of God to pray that He also shut the gates of Purgatory and Hell today and bring all souls into His Divine Kingdom.
We add also that all sinners in the Church Militant still here upon earth may be wiped clean of any stain of sin just as at their baptism. Adding special prayers for hardened sinners, that their concrete encases hearts may crack allowing a sliver of God’s Divine Mercy in to wash them clean as well.
Today, Lord, break all the powers of Hell.
“The Lord said to me, Enter into purgatory often, because they need you there. O my Jesus, I understand the meaning of these words which You are speaking to me, but first let me enter the treasury of Your mercy. Write, My daughter, that I am mercy itself for the contrite soul. A soul’s greatest wretchedness does not enkindle Me with wrath; but rather, My Heart is moved towards it with great mercy.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1738-1739
Our prayers are small but His Divine Mercy is beyond any thought of human or angelic mind.
Uniting our prayers with all the Masses around the world, lean into that Vessel of Trust and know the Lord is answering our prayers that the halls of Purgatory may begin 2026 empty.
“When I immersed myself in prayer and united myself with all the Masses that were being celebrated all over the world at that time, I implored God, for the sake of all these Holy Masses, to have mercy on the world and especially on poor sinners who were dying at that moment. At the same instant, I received an interior answer from God that a thousand souls had received grace through the prayerful mediation I had offered to God. We do not know the number of souls that is ours to save through our prayers and sacrifices; therefore, let us always pray for sinners.” – – Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1783
