End Times

Spread the love

Write this: before I come as the just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort: All light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the Savior were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day.” Divine Mercy in My Soul #83

“Immediately after the suffering of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven will be shaken.

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see ‘the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven’ with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Matthew 24:29-31

Are we living in the end times? Some say yes. Look at the headlines in the daily news and compare the the Book of Daniel, Revelation etc…maybe it is time.

“Let all mankind recognize My unfathomable mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 848

Really overwhelming thinking. But, as I sit in prayer this morning, it comes to heart that maybe we should stop trying to live for Christ’s coming and start living more for our coming to Christ. There is no doubt that we will meet Jesus someday. Whether that is when He comes back from Heaven in glory or through our transition (death), I don’t know.

My son when he was about 8 years old, told me, “dad, it doesn’t matter where we welcome Jesus, here as He descends to earth or when we arrive in Heaven. The key is that we know Him when we meet Him.”

That always stuck with me. We need to be ready. This moment will come upon us quickly. No matter how studied we are, it will be a surprise. This moment is imminent and will probably be a surprise to most, if not all.

How do we keep our lanterns ready with oil? Stay in a state of grace. Act in mercy. Pray for mercy. Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the Rosary daily.

We need to live every moment of our life for this moment when we will see Jesus face to face. We need to live our lives not to see Him coming in the clouds but to see Him standing before us – hopefully welcoming us home as a good and faithful servant. If we are alive when He comes in the clouds, raise a hearty cheer. If not, raise a heart cheer. It doesn’t matter how we meet, just that when we meet, He finds us ready to meet Him.

Stay ready and when this moment comes, there will be nothing to fear as we will rest in God’s Divine Mercy.

Tell souls of Divine Mercy.

I gave the Savior to the world; as for you, you have to speak to the world about His great mercy and prepare the world for the Second Coming of Him who will come, not as a merciful Savior, but as a just Judge. Oh, how terrible is that day! Determined is the day of justice, the day of divine wrath. The angels tremble before it. Speak to souls about this great mercy while it is still the time for [granting] mercy. If you keep silent now, you will be answering for a great number of souls on that terrible day. Fear nothing. Be faithful to the end. I sympathize with you.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 635
