Let us join together once again as The Road of Faith to lift up this request to the Throne of God. Let’s get to it in full trust and confidence. God IS powerful and merciful enough to answer this prayer – joining together, let’s make our fervent request heard.
Jesus, I beg You, by the inconceivable power of Your mercy, that all the souls who will die today escape the fire of hell, even if they have been the greatest sinners. One drop of Your blood can wipe all sinners ever, Your mercy extends to ALL mankind, ever. Extend Your merciful grace to the souls in Purgatory and empty this place today. Alleluia and Amen.
This is an impossible prayer and desire, emptying Purgatory and for a day, swing wide the gates of Heaven that every soul today who passes may go straight to the treasure of Heaven.
Or is it?
“The Lord said to me, Enter into purgatory often, because they need you there. O my Jesus, I understand the meaning of these words which You are speaking to me, but first let me enter the treasury of Your mercy.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1738
With God’s Divine Mercy, nothing is impossible. With trust even this prayer is simple (Matthew 19:26/Luke 1:37/Mark 10:27). Think of the joy these souls will feel as they are released from Purgatory today by your prayers. Then, imagine how their joy will be reflected in their prayers for you from God’s throne.
Have faith! If a mustard seed of faith can uproot a mountain, think what it can do today. So, empty today the treasury of the Church, pour out your heart and faith, add your little sufferings and beg God through Day 8 of the Novena of Divine Mercy to empty Purgatory and today bring every soul home.
Today we are adding two additional prayers to energize our request to God.
Each soul has a Guardian Angel through life, through the intercession of St. Michael in his Chaplet that each Guardian Angel go to Purgatory and escort their human soul to God’s throne.
We also add the Unity Hail Mary to this request. The Blessed Mother promised that each time this is prayed three times, a soul is released from a purgatory – “Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee, blessed are Thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, spread the effect of grace of Thy Flame of Love over all of humanity, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.”
And finally, our powerhouse of this ‘Empty Purgatory” request, Day 8 of the Novena of Divine Mercy.
Today bring to Me THE SOULS WHO ARE DETAINED IN PURGATORY, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. Let the torrents of My Blood cool down their scorching flames. All these souls are greatly loved by Me. They are making retribution to My justice. It is in your power to bring them relief. Draw all the indulgences from the treasury of My Church and offer them on their behalf. Oh, if you only knew the torments they suffer, you would continually offer for them the alms of the spirit and pay off their debt to My justice.
Most Merciful Jesus, You Yourself have said that You desire mercy; so I bring into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls in Purgatory, souls who are very dear to You, and yet, who must make retribution to Your justice. May the streams of Blood and Water which gushed forth from Your Heart put out the flames of Purgatory, that there, too, the power of Your mercy may be celebrated.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls suffering in Purgatory, who are enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. I beg You, by the sorrowful Passion of Jesus Your Son, and by all the bitterness with which His most sacred Soul was flooded: Manifest Your mercy to the souls who are under Your just scrutiny. Look upon them in no other way but only through the Wounds of Jesus, Your dearly beloved Son; for we firmly believe that there is no limit to Your goodness and compassion. Amen.
