I found it, the simple key to becoming a Saint today. Easy peasy.
Let go of control.
Jesus tells St. Faustina in paragraph 1682, “If souls would put themselves completely in My care, I Myself would undertake the task of sanctifying them.” Just let go and put yourself completely in ahis care.
We cling so tightly to our sense of control! We think we have the future set up in our planned. We have the troubles of today in our grasp. We have our schedule planned to say this prayer or that devotion or read our Bible X number of minutes.
We’d rather fight an uphill battle than to just give ourselves completely in God’s care.
But, Jesus’ way is much better. In fact, it’s really the only way.
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”” John 14:6
Let go of control! Simple. We must let go go and open ourselves to His Grace. His Grace and Mercy is far more powerful than any effort we could dream up or attempt from any self-help book or fantastic idea on social media.
To abandon ourselves completely to God’s Divine Will and give control of yesterday, now and tomorrow over to God.
“Do not be afraid” Matthew 14:27
Everything that is best for us, everything that leads to eternal life, everything that leads us to God, will be given to us by the Father.
Stop worrying and stressing, stop struggling to find how to be holier, just give yourself to His care.
There is unimaginable peace and joy that comes from being completely in His care.
