Don’t – Won’t – Can’t – Must

Spread the love

There are four types of sinners who will lose the gift of Heaven through God’s Divine Mercy.

Those who say “God won’t forgive me.” This soul believes his sins are too numerous or dark for God to forgive. “If God knew what I’ve done…” This soul fails to understand the cross. This soul limits God’s unfathomable Divine Mercy.

Those souls who say “God can’t forgive me.” This soul looks into the eyes of mercy and turns away. This soul is near to the one who exclaims that God won’t forgive. This soul doesn’t see that just a drop of God’s mercy into an ocean of sin will cleanse the soul of all his wretchedness.

The soul who says to God, “Don’t forgive me.” This soul turns his back on God’s mercy. He doesn’t ask for it, if presented this mercy, he will claim not to need it. He doesn’t see his sin as sin.

Lastly, the soul who says to the world “I’m a good person, look at what I do. God will save me.” This soul looks upon mercy and says “I can do what I want, live how I will and God, being merciful, MUST forgive me.” This soul believes in the moment of death, he can just look to Jesus as the man on the cross and God will forgive.

Don’t be presumptuous of God’s Mercy. We must live our lives that keeps our hearts from becoming hard. A hardened heart standing before the Mercy seat won’t be able to accept the offered mercy. Hardening of heart can come simply by living in and becoming comfortable of our sins. Or, maybe just not living as Christ. This heart hardens as he lives outside the love of Jesus to His Kingdom.

Turn away from sin. Turn back to God and ask His mercy now. Know beyond doubt this Divine Mercy is yours and overflowing with power to wipe away all stain of sin. But, you must honestly turn back again to God and beg His mercy with a truly repentant heart.
