Do you thirst?

“whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst; the water that I shall give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14

Come drink of the font of mercy! This is not just a font of mercy that Jesus offers to you, He offers you an ‘ocean of mercy’ (Divine Mercy in my soul # 1142). A drink of His ‘unfathomable mercy’ (#1142).

St. Faustina wrote: “I feel I am like a drop of dew engulfed in the depths of the bottomless ocean of divine mercy.” (Divine Mercy in my soul # 654)

How quenching is Divine Mercy to the soul that is parched in the desert of sin. just a drop of this mercy on the sinner’s dry and cracked tongue is enough to sustain the soul for all eternity.

“As a hart longs
for flowing streams,
so longs my soul
for thee, O God.
My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.” Psalm 42:1-2

Yes, as the heart longs for mercy..

Do you thirst for God? Lost for ages in sin and your soul is dry? Come to the fountain of mercy. Come to the cross of Jesus and drink copiously from the fount of mercy – the Blood and Water which gushes forth from the heart of Jesus brings the spring of mercy the quenches all souls.
