The occult and powers of evil are running rampant tonight. Recently, while shopping with my wife, we overheard two clerks, tattooed and heavily pierced, excitedly taking about Halloween’s “excitements and joys”. It is a full moon, 2nd of the month, and they were excited about being able to take their crystals and lay them out to “recharge” them. The one invited the other to the park to a “ritual” he was attending.
It was scary to hear. They were speaking openly and loudly across the store as they stood 20 feet apart arranging clothing racks.
Keith Green, a Christian song writer, wrote, “I [Satan] used to have to sneak around. But now they just open their doors. No one’s looking for my tricks because no one believes in me any more.”
This is a new age for sure in which we live. The occult is running rampant and more in the open than I can ever remember. New age crystals and pyramids are sold. Black Masses are advertised in mockery of the One True Church with their black priests making blood sacrifices. I read an article the a Satanic group was challenging the fight against abortion claiming abortion should be protected as a religious liberty under the 1st amendment.
Tonight, dark rituals will be celebrated by people ignorant of what they are doing. Covens of witches will gather to cast evil magics against Christians. I saw where several were coming together in opposition to our President and to cast spells to control the election.
This is not some horror show fiction. There are horrible and dark powers at work. It is all so terrifying.
BUT…but, God is King and His Holy angels are surrounding believers. They are fighting hard to protect those souls participating in evils in ignorance. There is a spiritual battle raging for souls. The hosts of God’s army is fully engaged.
Protect yourself tonight and always in these dark days. Defend yourself with prayer, especially the Prayer of St. Michael. Envelop yourself with the Holy Sacraments. Immerse yourself in God’s Divine Mercy. Trust in Jesus! His cross overshadows all the evil Satan can throw against a faithful soul. He is Sovereign and All Powerful. And, in the end, no matter what spells or schemes he enemy can construe, God is Victorious and we in unity with Him will be triumphant.
”Have I not commanded you; Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with youwherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Be ever vigilant, the enemy is prowling in the open but do not be afraid for Jesus is always with you and in the end “every knee shall bend and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” Philippians 2:9-11
St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,

O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world

guardian of souls, vanquisher of rebel spirits,

and our admirable conductor,

and superhuman virtue deliver us from all evil,

and enable us by your gracious protection
