Death destroyed

Spread the love

No longer shall the dominion of death and sin be able to hold humanity, for Christ went down shattering and destroying its power – Hell is bound.”Divine Liturgy

“Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:14

“Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanityso that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.” Hebrews 2:14-15

The image JRR Tolkien presents at the end of “Return of the King” paints perfectly the collapse of Satan and his dominion of hell with the victory of the King. I especially love the scene of victory in the movie.

““O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 1 Corinthians 15:55

Our King has overcome the power of the grave and sin. In his victory, we have victory. Our King, in His Righteous Power, goes down into Hell to pull Adam from the grasp of death’s hold. Do you believe that if Jesus can break the power of sin and death over Adam, He can’t break the the chains of sin over you?

I am Love and Mercy itself. There is no misery that could be a match for My mercy, neither will misery exhaust it, because as it is being granted-it increases.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 1273

When we approach His Divine Mercy though weak and wretched, dirty souls and cast the “ring” of our sin into the fire pits, The Divine Mercy of Jesus explodes forth leaving hell desolate. The walls and towers collapse as this explosion of Mercy spreads out upon the world. The power of the lord of sin is destroyed, he has no further hold in your life

Those lost in sin, unwilling to accept the Mercy of God will scatter in fear. But, not us. For we trust in God’s Mercy with all we are able. Trust His Mercy with all you have at this moment. He will take that ‘mustard seed’ of trust and grow it within your soul. Destroy despair and begin to practice hope and faith. Day by day, you will be coming closer to the King.

“Where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more.” Romans 5:20

King Aragon was great in the Return of the King and all Gondor and her allies kneeled in homage. But, when Jesus Christ, the King of Mercy, returns EVERY knee will bow before Him. I pray that all followers of the Road of Faith and all hearts in the world surrender their sins to His incredible Mercy now. That all hearts may give glory to this Divine Mercy now and forever and ever.
