Consecrated faith

Spread the love

“Total consecration to Jesus through Mary is the quickest, easiest, surest and most perfect way to become a saint.” St. Louis D’Montfort

I never understood how this was true. Wouldn’t it just be easier to go straight to Jesus Himself to become a saint? Then, I did my Consecration through “33 Days to Morning Glory” and later, “True Devotion to Mary.”

Through these 33 days of reflection and prayer, I learned Mary’s role in my salvation and sanctification. The Blessed Mother gave herself totally to the Father’s Will. Her fiat resonates through all history. And, through her consecration to her Divine Son at the Annunciation, she brought relationship to the Trinity as something we can see and strive to obtain. Her unity with the Holy Spirit and Trinity is inseparable and unfathomable.

“The Immaculate alone has from God the promise of victory over Satan. She seeks souls that will consecrate themselves entirely to her, that will become in her hands forceful instruments for the defeat of Satan and the spread of God’s kingdom.” St. Maximilian Kolbe

Faith in Jesus is so simple though it’s hard. Mary makes it easy. Turn to her and she will take care of tidying you up to present to her Son. No matter the bruises, scars or dirt, Momma Mary will get you ready and make you presentable to see the King.

My Consecration has changed my prayer life. Father Gaitley explains how the Blessed Mother will take our prayer needs and apply them to those in most need. Seemed odd at first for me. When I did the Consecration the first time, my daughter was out of crisis but still struggling with difficult challenges to her health. I was praying constantly for her healing. Honestly, all that prayer and concern caused stress beyond imagination. I took a lot of the pressure upon myself to pray for her and when those prayers weren’t answered, I prayed harder and harder. Until I broke.

The Lord had already started rebuilding me when I met my Mother in the Consecration. When I read how I needed to offer my prayers to Mary to do with as she felt necessary. Even applying my prayers to someone ‘in China’ who was in need, I was upset and taken back. Then, I read on and read how “the Blessed Mother’s love will never be outdone.” Yes, she would apply my prayer as needed within he Son’s creation, but she would never leave my needs unheeded or unheard.

By offering my prayers without reservation or limit to the Blessed Mother, she would polish my needs to present to the Lord. All of the pressure of my prayer came off my shoulders. I could offer my intentions and trust our Lady to give them out as most needed. And, I that trust, I could know my needs would be met. This unity with Mary then clarified the Spirit’s words through St. Paul.

“the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirithimself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” Romans 8:26-27

So, now, I do ask her help for my specific needs, but, I trust her to use my prayers as most needed for the salvation of souls. The more I trust in the truth that her love cannot be outdone, the more I strive to offer her my prayers in love. She’ll return a billion-fold.

Consecrate yourself through one of these forms to Jesus through Mary. She will take so much pressure and fears from your soul. What loving mother would let her child live in fear? And, she is the most loving of mothers.

The Blessed Mother remains very active in our world and lives with one single-minded goal – bring the whole world to her Son.
