Isn’t it strange that we absolutely trust a stranger we never see to make our food? With just a few words we sit in a chair and trust a person standing behind us, with sharp blades, to cut our hair. Even more wildly, we trust our opinion and answers and power.
Yet, we don’t trust God in all things. Or, we claim to trust Him, if we are getting the responses we think we need or desire.
Jesus, I trust in You.
This statement means that we can trust in only Jesus. It means that we should trust in Jesus regardless of the how the facts appear. This is a statement of absolute and total faith. ‘Feet both in’ level of trust. No waiver, no condition. Absolute.
This level of trust and surrender can be a bit daunting to the mind. Letting go of everything, all apparent control of a situation or more so, all control of all of our life is to many levels beyond human ability. But, this is exactly where we must be to stand before God face to face. And, on earth, God gives us the opportunity to learn how to get to this 1000% no doubt trust level.
“But God will not give us anything beyond our strength. Often have I lived hoping against hope, and have advanced my hope to complete trust in God. Let that which He has ordained from all ages happen to me.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 386
See thoughts through the past 4 years on my blog – this one stands out in my mind – https://theroadoffaith.net/do-you-need-jesus/
To just say the words “not my will but Yours be done, Lord” at the end of all prayers is a start. The first steps to move to “Jesus, I trust in You”. When we reach that point, maybe just for a moment or more fully, we will find such peace. Peace the world won’t understand, peace beyond even our understanding now. But, when it happens, our souls will find rest in God, a light yoke, even in the grandest fury of the storm.
Work on you soul and mind today. Start by beginning your day with this simple prayer, “Jesus I surrender my self to you through the Immaculate heart of Mary, Jesus, I trust in You.” Strive to enter each moment, especially those challenging ones, with the simple prayer, “Jesus, I trust in You.” Stop there when the sky is falling around you. Simply repeat, ‘Jesus, I trust in You.’ Believe and trust that Jesus knows the desires and fears of your heart, surrender those over to His glorious plan for you.
Unconfuse your mind and unite it with the central desire of your heart and soul – trust in Gods alone.
‘Our hearts are restless until they rest in You.” So, rest in trust in the Sacred Heart of Jesus. “Jesus, I trust in You.’
