“Come Holy Spirit” Saint- Maker

Spread the love

“As he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him.” – Ephesians 1:4

Inspire us, O Holy Spirit to desire to be saints. Give us the desire to pursue sanctity.

We are called to be holy. We are called to be saints. Saint Mother Teresa told us we must desire to be holy and expect that we will become holy. St. Therese of Lisieux said that God will not give us a desire that He won’t give the grace to fulfill.

St. Faustina shared a desire to become not just a saint but a Great Saint. “O my Jesus, You know that from my earliest years I have always wanted to become a great saint,” – Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1372

What is more important to you than becoming holy? Nothing!

We must surrender our life to Jesus. We can’t get there if we have one foot in the world and one foot with Jesus.  We must learn to have a strong, overwhelming desire for Jesus over anything else in the world – even over our spouse, kids, jobs or wealth. Plainly put – we must desire God. It must grow into an aching pain to be separated from Him. Sts. Faustina and There’s and others all wrote how much the desired death to being kept separate from God.

We must have an overwhelming desire for a repentant heart. We must fight against all the temptations of the world or that Satan and the demons throw at us. Expect these attacks and rejoice in repelling them. But, if you fall into sin – don’t fret! Simply turn back to God and receive His Divine Mercy. Rejoice with the Father of a son returned from death.

The soul must then boldly ask the Holy Spirit to bring this sanctity to his heart, mind and soul. Have faith in the Spirit. Faith moves mountains and leads us to deeper holiness. Through faith we experience miracles.

Prayer – drawing close to God in relationship lets the Father share His desire for your sanctity is greater than your own. He has desire you to join His Heavenly Host of saints since before you were formed in the wind or even a dream of a dream in the mind of anyone but Himself.

And, lastly in this list is Consecration to Jesus through Mary. Ask the Immaculate for her intercession to fight the world’s inclination. Ask for a share of her Immaculate Heart – her Immaculate Conception – that you may be purified and strengthened to join her at the throne of Jesus. Praying through Mary is the best way to become a saint. She guides us to the will of her Son Jesus.

Holy Spirit – give us the desire to pursue sanctity, the humility to think it possible, and the power of Your Sanctifying Fire to cleanse me. Give us the desire to skip Purgatory and come straight and directly to the Throne of God – a saint among saints.

Let me become and live abandoned to Your desire.

This firm resolution to become a saint is extremely pleasing to Me. I bless your efforts and will give you opportunities to sanctify yourself….I have come to a knowledge of my destiny; that is, an inward certainty that I will attain sanctity. This deep conviction has filled my soul with gratitude to God, and I have given back all the glory to God, because I know very well what I am of myself.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1361-1362
