“Come Holy Spirit” – Remind Me Who I Am

Spread the love

“O Lord, you have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away.” Psalm 139:1-2

Who am I? What is my purpose, O Lord?

I don’t know who I am to You or within Your Kingdom. I don’t even know my own thoughts. Yet, You Lord know my every thought and every movement before I even think it.

“Even before a word is on my tongue, O Lord, you know it completely” Psalm 139:4

I lean to You, O Lord, to show me the way of my life moving in Your Kingdom. For You know everything. You know where I am to go, what I am to do and how I will play into Your Kingdom.

“Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is so high that I cannot attain it.” Psalm 139:6

You know everything. You knew it all before I first breathed my first.

“For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works, that I know very well.” Psalm 139:13-14

So, I will lay down my worries, my fears and my feeling of inadequacy, and trust in You. I will trust in You, my God. I will set my soul before You that You may search me and remove anything that hold me back from You or doing Your Divine Will according to the plans of Your Kingdom – not what I want with it.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” Psalm 139:23-24
