I pray this song every morning as I get ready to face another day of work. It’s been a very meaningful song since last year when Connie and I first heard it at adoration.
Just to sit here at the ‘feet of Jesus’ during adoration is a divine moment and blessing. When we have the opportunity to sit with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration, I find such peace and find myself asking that ‘this moment’ never end.
Today, it struck me differently.
As I sit here this morning, meditating upon God’s Divine Mercy, I am overwhelmed at the thought of what the Sacrament of Reconciliation does for the soul. Kneeling within the confessional, just inches from Jesus, I am overcome with the need to just be here. Yes, I come seeking mercy. But, in this moment, I just want to be here at His feet. This is such a holy moment.
When the soul comes before the throne of God’s mercy in this Sacrament of Mercy, there is not a more precious of holy moment for the Father and the soul. All Heaven quiets for a moment as the soul approaches, then the shouts of joy ring loudly through of Heaven as Divine Mercy is poured out upon this contrite soul. The Father acclaims for all the angels and saints to hear, “Welcome home! My son/daughter welcome home!” I never want to leave this moment.
Listen to the words as you place yourself within the tabernacle of mercy – the confessional. Get caught up in this moment of Mercy.
“I’m caught up in Your presence
I just want to sit here at Your feet
I’m caught up in this holy moment
I never want to leave
Oh, I’m not here for blessings
Jesus, You don’t owe me anything
More than anything that You can do
I just want You”
