“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and my might; He has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2
“The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.” Psalm 118:14
“Encourage souls to place great trust in My fathomless mercy. Let the weak, sinful soul have no fear to approach Me, for even if it had more sins than there are grains of sand in the world, all would be drowned in the unmeasurabledepths of My mercy.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 1059
When I stood before God, the light was too bright and purity too great to come close. I couldn’t even glance upon the Mercy Seat in its brilliance and holiness.
Then the Lord came on the cross so we could approach His Throne. The cross carries all the mercy and love of God, magnified a billion billion times. The cross is approachable. Sinners approach the cross and saints walk away.
As you kneel upon that holy ground at the foot of the cross, be soaked in the Precious Blood and Water from the Merciful heart of your Savior. Take your sins to the cross, lay them at His Holy Feet. Leave them behind nailed to the cross as you turn from your sinful ways. Trust in Him!
Lord, Your love defends me. Surely You, my God are my strength – my portion my salvation. I have made so many trips up the hill of Calvary to lay my sins at Your Cross. Each time I’ve come to You in the Sacrament of Mercy, that is Confession, you take all my wrongs. I pierce them like the lance into Your Sacred Heart and You return not scorn as I deserve. You return the Mercy of the Blood and Water from Your Sacred to bath me and wash me clean of all sins. Forward from Calvary I walk a new saint reborn.
I know that if, no – when I return to Calvary, I will find only Your Cross. All the sins I’ve brought before are consumed by Your cleansing fire and are no more. If I look, I will find no trace of my past transgressions, only Love and Mercy as You welcome me back with open arms.
Every time I enter this Chapel, I pray, “Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ for our sins and those of the whole world; for the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 475
“Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle: my rock and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge” Psalm 144:1-2
