Another beautiful faith church along our Journey with ‘Faith on the Road.” We celebrated Holy Mass at Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Jacksonville, North Carolina – just outside Camp Lejeune Marine base.
The priest gets a resounding 5 stars from me. He celebrated Mass ‘Ad Orientem’ and had a good homily. They had 5 young men as altar servers who all assisted at Communion with plates to protect the Eucharist. The parish website sets the heart of the church as they describe honoring the Eucharist and talk about making a good Confession. The church had beautiful stained glass windows on all ends.
The priest studiously celebrated Mass with all reverence. At the end of the celebration, the whole parish knelt and recited the Prayer to St. Michael and a Hail Mary.
Several men, obviously Marines were present for Mass and many young adults and young families were as well. The parish does have a school.
