“Blessed are You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth; You have revealed to little ones the mysteries of the Kingdom” Matthew 11:25
What has God revealed to you whether recently or over the years? Have you praised the Father for these revelations?
“‘Blessed are you, O Lord, God of our ancestors, and to be praised and highly exalted for ever;
And blessed is your glorious, holy name, and to be highly praised and highly exalted for ever.” Daniel 3:52-53
Have you praised God simply for being God? His Name is Holiness, His very Being is Holy, He sheds this Holiness upon His people in His grace and Divine Mercy. Have your praises Him for just being Holy and sharing that upon you?
“Blessed are you in the temple of your holy glory, and to be extolled and highly glorified for ever.
Blessed are you who look into the depths from your throne on the cherubim, and to be praised and highly exalted for ever.” Daniel 3:53-54
Have you given praise to God for bringing you to His Catholic Church from which you can find perfection and the fullness of sanctification and salvation? Have you knelt before His throne in the Tabernacle, in Adoration within that Church? He is right in front of you every day in your local Catholic Church…have you given Him praise?
“Blessed are you on the throne of your kingdom, and to be extolled and highly exalted for ever.
Blessed are you in the firmament of heaven, and to be sung and glorified for ever.” Daniel 3:55-56
Have you looked upon a sunset, the rainbow, lightning flashing or the stars and given praise to God for making this all? Have you gazed upon the skies or an incredible view in the earth and been awed? In that awe, have you praised God for giving this moment in this scene to you alone?
None of us give enough praise to God. We can never give Him the praise of which He is worthy even if we praised for a million years. But, do we even give God praise in our day? So many things for which we should praise God simply slip through our minds. We can look at incredibly beautiful scenes and think just that, ‘pretty.’ But, not praise God though He made that scene in that moment just for you. We can have grace upon grace poured out upon us and take it like it’s our due or just as something almost normal and expected. But, in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Divine Mercy drowning us in grace, we walk back to the parking lot without giving praise. We receive the fullness of Jesus in the Eucharist like pancakes at Denny’s. We should be on our knees giving praise to God for this blessing.
I’m not calling you out for not giving God praise. I know I don’t praise Him enough. What I’m saying is simple – Praise God. Praise the Father in everything. Start now to look and see the things for which you can Praise God. The more you see to praise and the more you offer this praise, the more you will see that is praise worthy.
Glory and praise to our God, Who gives eyes to see and ears to hear His graces.
