Bible of the Road – Exalt Him

Spread the love

“I will bless the Lord at all times; He praise shall continually be in my mouth.Psalm 34:1

“Praise the Lord, all you nations!
Extol him, all you peoples!” Psalm 117:1

“O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.” Psalm 34:3

Do exalt and glory in the Lord? I sure hope so, at least once every day calling to mind His great works and mercy in your life. Giving praise and thanks to God for all He does from the littlest to the biggest.

Do you exalt and glorify and praise God? It isn’t that difficult. And, once you start doing this on a regular basic, you find yourself doing it more. It comes more simply. Our souls cry out within us to cry our praise to God. So many muffle that outcry of our soul. The world is built now (by the enemy) to quiet and be louder than the our soul’s cry. Quieting the noise of the world and work may not be possible, but we can become more attuned to the whispers and desires of our immortal sou. We can learn to hear the desire of praise and then answer that call.

One of the greatest acclamations of praise documented is that of St. Thomas. Simple, concise and echoing through all eternity. The vibrations of these five words reverberates through our souls today.

““My Lord and my God!”” John 20:28

Stop today, like Thomas, simply declare “my Lord and my God.” Then, pick one thing for which you are thankful to God. And, thank Him for one minute. Keep doing this and you may (probably will) find yourself expanding this list. One minute becomes two and two an hour.

Start your day with a minute of praise. End your day with a minute of praise. Set your conduit to the world’s noise to remind you. Yes, your cell phone can be set to alarm and poke you to give thirty seconds of praise midday.

“Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples.” 1 Chronicles 16:8

“Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits” Psalm 103:1-2
