“…Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, he humbled himself, and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:6-11
“At the name of Jesus every knee should bend”
Do you honor the Holy Name of Jesus to this level? When His Name is said, by others or yourself, do you bow your head or bend to kneel?
“At the name of Jesus every knee should bend”
We who believe Jesus is King of kings and know Him to be God should find it easy to give homage to Jesus. We should bend our knee, lie prostrate before Him. His is the Name above all names for a reason.
As this season moves forward, look into the eyes of Jesus. Not just in an image, but truly, deeply into His eyes. Jesus shared the wisdom with me that when men truly look into His eyes, they see the Divine. How did Simon, Thomas, Matthew and so many other saints through time leave everything and have a dramatic change of heart and life otherwise? Then, once you gaze into these Holy, Divine eyes, your soul and heart will compel you to bend your knee to Christ the King.
Do you give Him the honor due to Him? Only you can know that and answer this question.
