Are you ready for battle?

Spread the love

The battle is engaged. The enemy is at the walls. He and his cohorts are pounding on the gates with his mighty rams. Are you ready for this battle? Are you willing to join?

The King is on His throne and His Queen is a warrior queen. She has been battling since her Fiat. ”I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers” Genesis 3:15. She is our rally point. When our hearts tremble and weaken, look to the Queen and know through her, we have all the night of the King. We have the King’s promise of victory. “She will crush the head of the serpent” Genesis 3:15

Remember back to my ‘Castle’ series. We need to insure our castle is strong for the battle. Close all open portals, renounce all temptations and confess all sins. Look for information on Patrick and Joy Campbell’s Victory in Spiritual Warfare workshop and join their Angelus Challenge. Bring our Lady to the forefront of your army. Wear the Sacraments as your armor.

Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Holy Rosary every day. But, don’t just pray the words. Don’t get me wrong, even just praying the words has power. But, adding your intentions and needs, adding others who are deep in battle and fighting the good fight as well as those in the battle who don’t even realize they are in a battle. Jesus promises St. Faustina and you, “And the Lord let me know that everything can be obtained by means of this prayer.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 1128. Say these prayers from your heart. Pray the Rosary within the mysteries. The mysteries draw you into the life of Jesus and Mary – our King and Queen.

The enemy hates these prayers. He hates every soul who loves and spreads the devotion to the Divine Mercy and prays the Holy Rosary. Satan especially despises anyone who has completed the Marian Consecration. These are our greatest armor.

Receiving and giving mercy is like shooting flaming arrows into hell. Praying the Holy Rosary is flaming sword that cuts the heart of Satan. Our Consecration infuriates him. And, the Sacraments of the Catholic Church make us nearly impervious to the attacks of the enemy. A baptized and confirmed soul in a state of grace, drawn close to the Eucharist is very, very powerful. And those who lean on other Sacraments like Matrimony and Holy Orders have special protections heaped upon them.

“When a soul extols My Mercy, Satan trembles before it and flees to the very bottom of hell” Divine Mercy in my soul # 378

“We will bear in mind that a soldier on the front line cannot hold out long without support from the rear forces that do not actually take part in the fighting but provide for all his needs; and that such is the role of prayer, and that therefore each one of us is to be distinguished by an apostolic spirit.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 539
