Are You in the Fight?

“Satan has admitted to me that I am the object of his hatred. He said that “a thousand souls do me less harm than you do when you speak of the great mercy of the Almighty One.  The greatest sinners regain confidence and return to God, and I lose everything.  But what is more, you persecute me personally with that unfathomable mercy of the Almighty One.” I took note of the great hatred Satan has for the Mercy of God. He does not want to acknowledge that God is good.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1167

One of the devil’s greatest deceptions is to persuade the world that he does not exist.

For if there is no hell, then sin carries no eternal consequence—and the need for repentance disappears.

Saint Carlo Acutis’ mother recalls a moment when, in a vision, he spoke of Jacinta, the little shepherd of Fatima: “Jacinta told me that there are no words on earth to describe the horror of hell.”

Do you have a healthy awareness and fear of Hell? Don’t dwell on it but do know that actions have repercussions. Sin can and will condemn you to live that sin for all eternity in Hell. But, also know, no sin can overcome God’s Mercy – except not asking for mercy.

We may not register as highly on the enemy’s list as St. Faustina does but you can irritate the forces of Hell. It’s simple. Turn back to God with a repentant heart and ask for Divine Mercy – trust it is yours, always. I’ve heard the screams of the demons as I entered the confessional.

Fight, fight, fight! It doesn’t matter how grave the sin or even how many times you’ve fallen into it. Turn back now – again.

Fight! Fight! Fight! When washed clean in Divine Mercy, fast and lean on God. Make efforts to fast of very special things you like. Give it up for a day or even an hour for His Glory. I love Coca-Cola – sometimes giving up my day’s can is very hard. It turn more to God in this difficulty and exalt that Satan is pressuring me to stop the fast. Lean on God in prayer, your Bible and journal. Step out of the world for even a few moments, uniting with God more intimately.

Deeply moved by the message of Fatima, Carlo began making small sacrifices—giving up Nutella, Coca-Cola, or skipping a favourite film. As he grew, so did his offerings, always quietly and without drawing attention.

How do you fight against the powers of Hell? Fight with God and always win!

“The Lord will battle for you. Be calm!” Exodus 14:14

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12
