“Then Jesus summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to cure every disease and every sickness.” Matthew 10:1
Are you called to be one of Jesus’s disciples?
If you are reading these posts, the Bible every day and going to Mass at least every Sunday, then you can feel the call. You are called. It isn’t because of these posts, follow The Road of Faith blog or anything I’ve said that you are called. No, you are called because you desire to pursue God.
You continue to come back to God despite falling into sin, again.
Jesus has called the unworthy, making them worthy to share His Gospel. He gives the words to share with lost souls to souls who had been lost.
Jesus gives power to those whom He has called and chosen out of the world that they may go forth and proclaim His words, live and mercy through their experiences.
It is never, could never be, a calling because any of us are worthy to be called. From Papa Francis or St. Faustina to each us, none are worthy be yet, Jesus calls each of us.
So, are you ready to answer the call? Reflect upon that question. If not, what is holding you back? Ready or not, Jesus is calling you.
Follow the example of Peter, Matthew, Andrew, and our Blessed Mother. When God calls, say ‘yes’.
Time to get up and get out of the boat. Someone needs you.
