Apostle of Mercy

Spread the love

“Then I heard a voice, “Apostle of My mercy, proclaim to the whole world My unfathomable mercy. Do not be discouraged by the difficulties you encounter in proclaiming My mercy. These difficulties that affect you so painfully are needed for your sanctification and as evidence that this work is Mine.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 1142

Are you an Apostle of Mercy? Jesus officially named St. Faustina as His “Apostle of Mercy”, but that doesn’t limit our calling or designation as an Apostle of Mercy. Maybe we aren’t given the official title but we are nonetheless called to this ministry.

The question you have to ask yourself is “has God’s mercy touched my life?” If you can’t answer yes to that, you need to look harder. Of course, we’ve all been touched my mercy.

Since we’ve been affected by Divine Mercy, we should desire to tell others of this great gift. In fact, Jesus gives us a simple task in this. Just tell people how His Divine Mercy touched you, let your excitement be apparent and it will build within you as it becomes a tidal wave rolling out to touch others.

In 2019, we had the privilege of going on a pilgrimage to Poland and visiting many of St. Faustina’s sites. The last place we visited was the convent church in which she prayed many times and where her earthly remains lay now. This was the highlight of a tour of highlight moments for me.

As I knelt at the railing in front of her coffin, I heard the voice of God as answer to a very specific prayer. In answer to my need, God simply asked, “do you trust me?” I looked up surprised by His voice and my eyes fell upon the signature on the Image of the Merciful Jesus over her coffin – “Jezu Ufam Tobie” “Jesus I trust in You”. I knew this was my answer, in my deepest need, simply trust Jesus. Then, His Voice asked, “will you be my apostle of Mercy and tell the world of my Divine Mercy?” Of course! What an honor, and I knew with confidence that this request was simple. Just tell others how Jesus and His Divine Mercy have touched my life. That is why I wrote “I Knew His Voice” (available on Amazon and BN.com – just click either hyperlink to order), this is why The Road of Faith started and why I am always so open to sharing personal aspects of my road of faith with you. I can’t help but tell the world how God touched my life. And if this sharing helps anyone, just one soul, draw closer to God…I’m ready.

Are you an apostle to mercy? Tell the world.

“He is an Ocean of Mercy.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 1142
