How often the soul forgets the Heavenly Host of Angels standing ready for the call. From the Guardian Angel, directly at his side to St. Michael, the Archangels and all the angels of all the nine choirs, there are legions of angels ready to jump into the fray for the soul.
We battle demons and Satan, against whom we are overmatched and on our own, powerless. The weakest of the fallen is immensely stronger and more cunning than you. Satan and his fallen have only two weapons against the soul – sin and death. But, make no mistake, they are experts at their use.
Take heart! The smallest and weakest of the angels of God are magnitudes of order more powerful than even Satan himself.
We just need to call upon them. They are ready to pounce, but won’t do so without your invitation. Your Guardian Angel is always at your side in defense. Make him happy, empower and enflame his heart by keeping him close to the throne of God – take him to adoration often and keep him near the Lord at Mass and the Eucharist.
