All things…

Spread the love

“Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.  I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.  I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”  Philippians 4:11-13

Where does my strength come from?  There is only one source of my successes and strengths, that is Jesus Christ.

“I can do all thing through Him Who strengthens me”

Over the past years, I’ve learned the truth of my life; Jesus is my strength.  No matter what I’ve done, where I’ve gone or even how far I’ve run, the one guarantee is that Jesus Christ is my rock.  He is my shield and when necessary, He has even been the sword defending me.

Recollecting many years back, I see His presence and defense.

I had lived a sinful, egotistical life far away from God.  I wanted nothing to do with Him, not out of some apathy but worse, because I simply didn’t care.  ““I know your works; you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were either cold or hot.  So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”  Revelation 3:15-16

“I wish you were either hot or cold” – I wasn’t even luke warm.  I simply didn’t care.  I had bought the lie of the enemy, hook, line and sinker.  I never believed God was real despite all I had been taught.  So, when I went into the USAF, our on my own, I had nothing within my soul to keep me from the darkness.

Oh but that is where the enemy’s lies meet the Truth.  No matter where a soul travels, God is there.  No matter how far a soul falls, the God of Mercy of there.  No denial can change that fact.  No lack of faith makes this reality less real.  Even for the man with zero faith, God is there.

And I’ve found that truth.  Have you?

God, the Father, sent His only Son that He may come to show the world the truth and a better way.  The Son came that He may suffer His passion and die that the punishment of death be made into a reward to set the Saint free to be united fully with the Trinity.  The Holy Spirit came to set the world ablaze.

I’ve learned this truth; have you?  My faith is solid and my trust in Jesus a rock; is yours?

Look at the days of your life and see God’s presence, His undying love and mercy keeps Him close.  The sacrifice of His Son was much too great to let any soul be lost.

Find strength in the Lord, find your strength in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit for the glory and love of God the Father.
