“”Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin and the power of the law. But, thanks be to god! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Corinthians 15:55-57
The wages of sin is death and the penalty from Adam’s sin was death. That is until the cross. Jesus gives us victory over death through His Divine Mercy on the cross. With the cross and Divine Mercy, death becomes the reward of a life well-lived.
There is one thing only that has the power to free sinners from the penalty of sin and the fires of hell – Divine Mercy.
“Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite Mercy” Divine Mercy in my soul # 687
Have you experienced God’s mercy? How can you withhold this great treasure from any soul? I know from what Jesus has forgiven me. I know what He has done in my life, to not tell everyone of this endless mercy of God would be the most selfish thing I could ever do.
It doesn’t matter to me if the person wants to know of God’s mercy or not. I’ve seen some pretty hardened types, those unbelieving of God’s existence and others even worse, who believe in God but don’t believe His mercy could touch them. One of the greatest things I treasure from having published my book, “I Knew His Voice” is to have people come to me to ask questions or tell their story after having read my book or hearing the miraculous story. The most exciting question I’ve ever been asked has been, “is that true?” This book was written from excerpts of my journal written during the story that was told in the pages of “I knew His voice”. Yes, this is a story of miracles but for me it is a story of mercy. When I wrote this, God spoke to my heart and told me, ‘this isn’t your daughter’s story, this is your story.’
I didn’t realize until I had read it, AFTER it was published, that this was a story of redemption and mercy. Yes, the miracles noted of Jesus’ appearance and the things He said are tremendous, but when all summarized, I would say it is simply mercy.
The whole purpose of publishing “I knew His voice” is to give hope to just one soul. On this, we’ve been rewarded a hundred times over.
I may seem to be off track from 1 Corinthians 15:55-57, but not as far as you may think. Death’s sting is stolen and turned against the enemy by knowing of God’s presence and mercy. A soul finds peace and reward in death when it is able to look into the darkness of their sin or even the fear of death itself and see God and know of His Divine Mercy and great promise. Holy Mass is a celebration of this reward.
If you’ve read my book, I ask you to post your comments on this reflection of your experience of God’s Mercy. If not, ‘like’ this reflection on my blog if you’ve experienced and know God’s Divine Mercy. My book is available from the ‘Catalog’ menu on ‘TheRoadofFaith.net’ homepage or through Amazon.
I’ve been asked by several to write a second book, one thing on my heart is to write a book that is a follow-up to the story in ‘I knew His voice’. So much more has happened to me since the days of this book. Another thought would be to share some of the stories shared by those who had read my book. And, the last book idea is a day by day ‘Road of Faith’ devotional. We’ll see where God leads. The main point of all of these thoughts for a second book is to affirm that God is real, God is present, God loves EVERY individual and God’s Divine Mercy is beyond any sin we could commit and beyond any understanding we could even obtain.
“Jesus, I beg You, by the inconceivable power of Your Mercy, that all the souls who will die today escape the fire of hell, even if they have been the greatest sinners. … Because Your mercy is inconceivable, the Angels will not be surprised at this.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 873
‘Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognize My unfathomable mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice’ Divine Mercy in my soul # 848
