Blessing and grace can bring a soul to contrition. The chicken or the egg…
God works from any starting point. I know. I didn’t want Him but He poured His grace and mercy into my life and soul I came to a point of repentance. Then, God accepted my imperfect contrition, taking all I had to offer He molded that through years of patient work to change my heart to perfect contrition and knowledge of His Divine Mercy.
God is always pouring His grace into souls. He is always working the field to grow the seed of His love.
Everyone receives God’s grace and Divine Mercy. Not all accept or recognize this gift. The key is when the Father gives the gift, does the soul throw it away, bury it or accept it outright?
I buried the gift for years but God kept shining His light on it and these gifts burst forth within my soul years later.
I thank and praise Gos with every breath now because He didn’t give up on me. The seed of His Grace has grown into a fruitful harvest but is still growing.
God’s grace starts, all get it. Especially the lowliest of sinners. God pours His grace into the lowest of souls as a great flood. But, God knows these souls are not ready for this flooding ocean, so He gives this Grace a dripping drop at a time. As the soul opens and learns to swim, the Grace becomes deeper, the flow stronger.
“The greater the sinner, the greater the right he has to My mercy. My mercy is confirmed in every work of My hands. He who trusts in My mercy will not perish, for all his affairs are Mine, and his enemies will be shattered at the base of My footstool (Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, 723)
Never play down God’s grace
