“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” John 3:16
“Love you, daddy.” Three words that can melt any father’s hearts. At least for me.
There is no title I’ve been more honored to carry in my life than father, husband and papap.
Think about how it makes you feel when those dearest to you say “I love you.”
Now multiply that by a factor of billions and that is precisely what God the Father is saying to you right at this moment. God sent His love to the world that all may see His Love incarnate and hear His voice telling each soul that He loves them.
Everything God does and thinks is about how much He loves you. Just you. Every moment of creation has been done to give you this moment to see His love and rest in the arms of His love. Look around you and all the gifts. See the sunrise and sunset as only you can see. Hear the giggle of your child or grandchild as only you can hear. It’s no joke that God made this very moment just for you.
Take the moment now to listen for God’s voice and see His hand. He is speaking to you right now. What He is saying is no some big complex text or hugely convoluted study. No. He is saying three simple words. Out of all the trillions of letters lived up into words and great books by the doctors of the Church, God says it all in just eight letters, three words, “I love YOU.”
“To all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God” John 1:12
As we move slowly toward Easter, think of what God is saying and what He is asking of you. “I love YOU, accept Me as your Father, be my son/daughter.”
God loves each of us as if we were the only person in the whole! God is love!
